Festival of Tree's

I convinced my family that they wanted to donate a tree to the Festival of Tree's this year. Thank goodness there are stores selling Christmas stuff before Thanksgiving is over. My tree's theme is Polka Dots and Peppermints. We are also doing a tree at work that is SPORTS themed. I started working on the tree skirts and they are turning out really well! I will post pictures of the tree's as they get closer to being finished.

My sister was heading to Atlanta for work, but her class was canceled so I tagged along at the last minute. It was really fun, but extremely hot (100 degree's at 9 o'clock at night). We go the Atlanta CityPass and did most of the tourist attractions. We also went up to Tennessee for a day and found the best BBQ that I've ever had.

Homemade Salsa

The girl at my work who usually feeds me is on maternity leave so I decided to attempt making homemade salsa!!

It's really easy: Tomatoes, Cilantro, Jalapenos, Garlic, Lime Juice.

Homemade Salsa = Yummy!!

I also tried to teach my sister how to make refried beans... haha she put in WAY too much Jalapeno, but her husband loved it!

We've all heard that TODAY was supposed to be the END OF THE WORLD as predicted by others. It's been really interesting at work because there are some who believe nothing and some that believe everything they hear. I've had such amazing experiences being able to testify that I KNOW the lord loves us no matter who we are and what we do. There is always hope. It is hard to see such amazing people not believe or know this truth.

Gardening

With my grandpa being so sick I thought I would be nice and help him plant his garden. My cousins and aunts and uncles came to help. We were give directions on how far apart to plant and where to plants things, but we ended up sprinkling seeds in random places. It was fun! I think it'll be motivation for my grandpa to get out and plant his own garden next year :) I'm excited to see what grows and eat some of the vegetables we planted! Hopefully it gets warm enough this year.

Coupon Class

I went to a coupon class the other night and was amazed at how much money I could be saving by using coupons. I get the Red Plum ads in the mail for free, and am lucky enough to have family that will let me mooch off of their sunday ads. I'm excited to start using my coupons. It's been a while since posting, and life hasn't changed much:

Dave works nights at Fed Ex and Amanda works days at Cornerstone!
Dave has been working on finals and will be starting summer semester in a week :(
We are the nursery leaders in our ward (Amanda loves it, Dave endures it) and church just got moved to 11am. Yay!!
We are thinking about getting a bengal cat for a pet. They look so cool!
Amanda's grandpa has been in the hospital since February. We are now responsible for planting his garden (when it gets warm enough)
Dave's Grandparents have both had health issues.
It's still winter even though it's almost May!!
Amanda found a solution for adult acne that is non prescription and has no side effects. (It's a secret)

Our lives are pretty boring! If anyone ever has questions/comments/ideas about our lives just let us know!

Cake Class

Cassidy and I are taking the Wilton cake classes at Hobby Lobby! I love the classes!! This is the cake (It says "Happy Cake Class") that I made the last day of our beginning class. Some of my roses are squished, but they were a lot of fun to make.

Kentucky Chess Cake

My brother Matt (serving in Kentucky) loves Chess Cake. He thought it was chest cake, but was corrected by a member that it is indeed chess cake.That is all he can talk about so I got the recipe from him and it is pretty good!

For the crust:

1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup of butter melted
1 large egg

Beat together and spread in the bottom of the 9x13 greased pan

Topping
1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese
1 lb of powdered sugar
2 large eggs

Beat together until mixed and smooth and pour on top of the crust.

Cook in oven at 350 degree for 30-35 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!

Yesterday, Sara and Nick invited us down to eat Korean food and play games. We ran down to bed bath and beyond to grab some stuff after we ate. Right next to Bed Bath and Beyond was Petco. We thought it would be really funny to buy a fish and leave it in a random spot in their house. So, we bought a blue betta and names him Cosmo. When we came into their house they were both in the other room so they didn't see the fish. I set up its bowl and placed him on their counter behind their knives. A few hours later we all went into the kitchen to get drinks and Sara didn't even notice he was there. Nick came in a few minutes later and started laughing and asked why they had a fish. It was really funny! I hope they take care of him and only feed him 3 pellets a day.

My sister Sara turned 27 on Saturday (May 1st) and I was volunteered to make the cake this year. I had learned a cool technique to make coral out of sugar that I wanted to try out so I decided to make the cake fish themed. We started by making the figures out of fondant (I hate making fondant.) Then we made shells and star fish out of chocolate. We made the cake, marble chocolate cake, and let it freeze over night. Then we made the coral. It took a very long, time but was really entertaining. This is a shrimp. Our family has a joke about live and dead shrimp so we decided to incorporate that into the cake. What is the sign for a live shrimp? What is the sign for a dead shrimp in sign language? (Dead Shrimp by Mahala.) The final cake turned out pretty well,(minus the writing) and we put trick candles on it. Haha. Happy birthday Sara!

I love my cousin Josh! We have been really good friends/cousin since we were both little! He was called to the Birmingham, London mission and is currently serving in Wales. He has informed us that he smells like a wet woolly sheep because it is so wet over there. He just sent me a card made from sheep poo. Ha Ha Thanks Joshy! Joshua would drive from St. George to California just to buy Sprinkles Cupcakes. He also calls me Cupcake. It's one of my many nick names. So, when I discovered Sprinkles Cupcakes in a can I knew I had to mail them to him. They even came with the dot that goes on top. Josh and his companion got to go to Caerphilly Castle on their "P" day. Lucky! I wish I could visit a real castle (not castle-brook in Layton). This is Josh trying to impersonate Belle from Beauty and the Beast. He's locked in the castle reading. Oh how precious! Josh is an amazing missionary. I love you Joshy!

Taxes

Well, I'm glad to say that our taxes are filed this year and we're still smiling. Many people wonder why I file my taxes rather than Dave filing them (he's going to be an accountant when he grows up) but to be honest I enjoy doing my taxes. My dad laughs at me because I was so excited that I could e-file this year. It is such a cool things. I am glad that the government has made tax filing so enjoyable. Hope everyone else enjoys filing their taxes like I did:)

Otabe

Would you try this if it was handed to you? Pretty scary looking!
There are perks of being a Japanese owned company. Every time the board flies in from Japan we are treated to several different gifts. Today the gift was Otabe. When it was placed before me, I was very scared to eat (I am allergic to fish, and other things) but decided to try it. I was surprised that it tasted fairly sweet and peanut butterish. I was not sure what the outside was, and the texture was that of uncooked bread dough. I thought that it had to be eel skin, or some other weird fishy thing. Our boss came out a while later and explained that Otabe is from his home town and was invented 2000 years ago. He said that the outside was a won ton like wrapper made from black sesame seed and the inside was bean paste with sweeter. There is research out there that say black foods such as black soy beans, and sesame seed help with weight loss. Pretty cool!

On Saturday we went to my cousin Mary's baptism. Afterwards, we went over to their house for a lunch in. When we were done eating, Mary's little sister Olivia wanted to play good fairies vs bad fairies. All of the little kids were the good fairies (there were like 30 little kids, who has that many kids?) and my sister, Sam, Dave, and I were the bad fairies. We would leave the room, count to ten, then come in and tickle the little kids. They would jump all over us, scream in our faces, and cling on to our legs. It was the worst game we had every come up with. Eventually they got bored so Olivia had me quiet everyone down so we could play a new game. I asked her what we should play and she raises both of her arms above her head and yells "GET THE BOYS". All of the little girls tackled the 3 boys in the room and were dragging them around by their necks. It was so funny! ha ha Olivia is only 5. I am so excited to see how she is when she is a teenager. Her parents have their hands full with her!

We celebrated the new year with our traditional Newmanium Party! It was at Dave's parents house and alot of fun (except I was sick). We watched seinfeld, the office, played games, and ate food. One Jan 1st there was a viewing for our dear friend who died. I got massages with my sister and Brittany Moore (soon to be Brittany Brown) and ate at Famous Dave's. One of my best friends who I grew up with got married on Jan 2! I remember sneaking into her house, and her sneaking out of her house pretty much everyday! She is so cute and her wedding was beautiful! I am so happy for her! Tyson is such a great guy and now her name is Brittany Brown!And this is my brother Matt who just left on Monday for the Louisville Kentucky Mission. He is serving in Charleston, Indian! (right on the border) His mission companion is Elder Leslie, and his Mission president is President Grande. He is from Utah and worked at the State prison. That means he will be able to put up with my brother's stubborness! It seems that he is actually smiling in this picture so that gives me hope. My brother rarely ever smiles in pictures!

Hopefully this year wont be as busy as this last weekend, but I am excited for 2010!

One of my dearest friends passed away this morning. She had ovarian cancer that spread throughout her body. I am so saddened to hear this but know that it was her time. I met this sweet lady in July and we instantly hit it off. We laughed and cried together. She gave me hope and encouragment in times when I needed it the most. I learned so much from her. She was such a great example and influence in my life. I will miss her so much, but I know it's not good bye, it's see ya later.

Mexican Riviera

This year for Christmas, my parents took my family, my grandparents, and my uncle on a cruise to the Mexican Riviera. Our ship was the Princess Sapphire. It was such a fun trip! I am so grateful that we got to go as a family.The cruise boat had tons of fun activities. We made gingerbread houses and came in the top ten for best house. Mahala took a little chief's class and made us a great cake. We also went swimming and ate alot!

Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta was our first port. Right out of the ship dock was a Wal Mart and Sam's club. Haha that was pretty nice. We had set up massage appointments at the Millennial Spa before we went and the rest of the family went to the beach off the hotel. (HN Krystal Resort). It was really nice! We rented jet skis, and my brother Matt went Para sailing over the ocean as well. It was very similar to the beaches in Hawaii! I loved it!

Mazatlan

In Mazatlan, we took a water taxi out to Stone Island. It was a really pretty beach, but didn't have much to do. It was also pretty cold so we built sand castles. After the beach, we took a tour of old Mazatlan. Our tour guide looked just like Adam Sandler. It was pretty entertaining. We went to their Cathedral and then ate real Mexican food.

Cabo

Our last port was Cabo San Lucas. It was such a cool place! We took a glass bottom water taxi out to Lover's Beach. Nick caught a puffer fish and let us all hold him. According to legend, if two people go into the cave on Lover's Beach three people come out. Ha ha. My brother Sam didn't want to get off the boat (he's 15) so I drew a picture of him in the sand. We also took the taxi out to the famous arches right next to Lover's beach.

We walked around down town Cabo and saw some pretty interesting things. There was this guy dressed up like a pirate that would move if you paid him money, and there was a booth that let you take your picture with a baby tiger (for $25) Overall, Cabo was my favorite port.

Ode to Snow

I love winter. I love snow. I love Christmas music (Starting in November) and lights. I love warm clothes and hot chocolate. Snow is so peaceful and calm when you are the only one driving or outside. The things I do not like are Utah drivers, Icy Roads (Especially in Kaysville when they refuse to plow) and the bitter cold. I hate getting white washed or having snow fall on my head when I walk under a tree. I hate blow up Santa's and houses with every inch of their yard decorated (white trash). I hate when people replace their porch lights with red lights (we are not in Moulin Rouge). Most of all, I hate when people don't shovel their walks and you fall on your butt!

Called to serve...

So, My brother finally got his mission call! He's going to Louisville, Kentucky (Southern speaking). It's funny because he put his papers in in July and then we never heard anything from the Church. (He had come home from Fresno last year because he lost 30 pounds in a month) About 2 months ago he got a letter from the mission president in Louisville welcoming him to the mission, but nothing from the mission office. However, his bishop hadn't heard anything so he called the mission home and they told him to ignore the call because they has messed up and that was not where he was going. He was relieved. He did not want to go to Kentucky. Last week, he got a call from the bishop telling him he was leaving on January 4th but the bishop didn't know where to. He said he would get a plane ticket in the mail in a few days and that is how he will know where he is going. (weird) Well, on Sunday the bishop gave him the ticket and it was to Louisville Kentucky. HAHA I guess there is someone there he really needs to help!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving we went to the Brewer's side. It was alot fun with alot of good food. Dave and I made really good whipped cream. Yummy! The highlight of this year was when Mathew insisted that we watch the movie Willow because it was written by George Lucas. Seriously, that is such a classic movie. haha. We also went to the Mongolian BBQ in Ogden on Friday with the Pedersen side for Thanksgiving dinner as well. Dave and I also have a lot to be thankful for. We recently found out that one of our very close friends has been diagnosed with Ovarian cancer and had several things removed (some I didn't know existed or could be removed). She is a trooper though and is already up and walking, though she is still in the ICU. Yeah she is amazing! We are so thankful for her and her family. They are such an inspiration to us. We are also thankful for our family and friends who have supported us in so many different ways. We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

When I was super sick a few weeks back I bought some Kleenex's to take to work. They were the best Kleenex's I have ever used because they had Vick's vapor Rub in them. It was amazing. Anyway, I went to grab a Kleenex today and they were ALL GONE! I was so mad that someone would come into my cubicle and use my Kleenex's. This just makes me hate cubicles even more!

My little sister Mahala made two pumpkin pie's yesterday and they looked so good! However, when my dad took a bite he instantly spit it out and asked her if she had added sugar. Haha She innocently said "it didn't say to add sugar." When she looked at the recipe again, the first thing was sugar. So, my dad decided to take the pie to work as a joke. When I was walking up the stairs I saw someone taking a huge bite of the pie and then spitting it out and running to the kitchen. I was trying so hard not to laugh. Then I went and looked at the pie and HALF of it was gone. HAHA I don't know who else ate it, but I feel bad for them!

The Wedding!

YAY! Sara and Nick are finally married. I am so happy for them,and so happy that the reception is over! It turned out pretty well, except for the weather. I am glad that I am no longer a wedding planner and can return to my normal life. I am so grateful for everyone who helped set up, and ate food, and dealt with me being a (insert any B word you would like). The food and flowers were amazing,and Sara looked beautiful (even with wind blown hair).

So, my sister introduced me to Teen Spirit Strawberry Antiperspirant/Deodorant. It is amazing because it is for teens who are just starting to get sweaty, which means it covers every BO smell out there! The other day, I had gone running and was really sweaty. I am a nice sister and put my arm pit right in my brothers face. To his surprise, it smelled really good! That is when he got the idea to start using Teen Spirit Strawberry Deodorant. HAHA he uses it everyday now, and puts the manly smelly kind over the top. He always smells good now! So, if you are looking to change your brand of deodorant, go with Teen Spirit!

Life is Crazy!

Today is one of those days when I feel overwhelmed by everything I HAVE to do. I don't think I've had a day to just sit and do nothing in such a long time that it's crazy! Every night plus the weekend of this week I have plans. Last week was the same. It is so crazy. I thought life was supposed to slow down when I graduated, but it sure hasn't. I am just glad that I'm not so busy that I have to plan when I go to the bathroom! Thanks goodness! Anyway, I'm sure everyone reading this cares! My Brother Sam has joined Davis High's LaCrosse Team! He is really fast and should be really good! I am excited to watch him play! Anyway, they are having a fundraiser for the team and are selling BIG boxes of FAT BOYS! I love Fat boys. In fact, I can't buy any or I will be a fat girl! I think there are like 32 fat boys per box! Wedding

Sara and Nick are FINALLY getting married October 13th! (6 weeks) Congratulations! Nick is such a great guy. He has stopped me from eating rotten graham crackers, got me ranch dip for my pizza, and has encouraged Dave to play ultimate frisbee. Welcome to the family Nick!

They have decided to have their reception at The Wetland Discovery Point. This is a beautiful building. I am excited! Good choice Sara and Nick (if you had any say in it)

Big Ass Fans

Oyster Shell
Edilbe Gelatin made from Bovine Hide (Capsule)

And the list could go on forever! These things are usually listed under a long word that few understand, but yet we still take vitamins, minerals, and other capsules everyday. I know that I have taken vitamins with Ox bile in them, and I will contiue to still take them. It's just interesting that people so willing take capsules without knowing what is truly in them!

The Narrows

My cousin Josh's farewell was on Sunday so we went down to St. George to visit. On Saturday we decided to hike the Narrows in Zions National Park. It was so pretty! I had never been there before. It was cold water, that sometimes went up to your neck and there were tons of people (in Speedo's) hiking. The squirrels would wait for people to feed them too. They were so fat! My brother even got bit by one because he was shaking a candy DOT infront of its face! Here are a few pictures of the hike!

Seinfeld Reunion

SO, I guess that Jerry, Elaine, George, and Kramer are reuniting in the show "Curb Your Enthusiasm," (created by Larry David). Elaine and George have been on the show previously in the "Seinfeld Curse" episode. It sounds pretty interesting. The plot is basically what happened to all 4 of them 11 years later. It should be funny, and I know that Dave will be watching every episode. I'm just sad that NEWMAN isn't going to be in the show.

We went to mirror lake with my dad, sister, brother and grandpa. It was so pretty! I love that there are no motorized boats allowed in the lake. It was so pretty!! My Dad and Hala on the lake!! The lake was full of fish that were jumping all around us, but we didn't catch anything! Me and Sam curled up under this blanket my great-grandma made to keep the bugs away from us... it was itchy!! When I went out on the lake, Sam rolled into a ball and took a nap. While he was asleep a dog came up and almost peed on him!

The other night, Danielle and I got together and were comparing pictures of her and Keith when they were little. They look exactly alike!! So we decided to see if there was a program that could show us what their future kids would look like... and we found one.

For my sister's birthday she got four field seat tickets to the Stadium of Fire with the Jonas Brothers!! She was so excited! Dave's uncle Bruce was also there with his family to represent the military that have served in Iraq. I am so grateful for all of those who have served our country! Glenn Beck was the narrator for the evening. I was really excited he was there. He did such a great job! SheDaisy was the opening act. I love their music. Dave even said they were pretty good!! This police officer was standing right next to the stage. You could tell he was annoyed at all of the screaming girls! My little sister loves the Jonas Brothers...especially NICK(the one on the left)!! When they came on we got to stand at the front of the stage! It was so cool! We didn't have to zoom in with our cameras at all! This was the best fire work show I've ever seen! Thanks to Mahala for having a birthday and inviting Dave and I to go to the show with you! The Pedersen Family Reunion got rained out this year....but we still managed to get a picture....in the rain...and we had fun up in Park City the next day! I love my family! We also got the opportunity to go with my cousin Josh to the Salt Lake temple for his first time. He is leaving next month for the Birmingham, London mission. It was our first time going to the Salt Lake Temple as well. It was quit the experience!! We went to the Josh Gracin Concert at Friendship Park in South Ogden, Utah. This is Sara, Nick, Krista, and Manny. They were having so much fun at the concert! We were so far back we couldn't even see the stage!

Alot of this summer was spent at Barnes Park watching Mahala play softball. Her team took 1st place in the championship. She was the catcher.... and let the ball hit the umpire alot!

So, I was walking into my parents house for Father's day/Matt's 20th birthday and I look down and there is a baby trout on their grass. I asked everyone if they knew where it came from and no had any clue!! My brother(the 20 year old) thinks it fell from the sky because it has been raining so much! Crazy!! Maybe it is the rain fish and now that he is dead there will be no more rain!

My cute mother in law was in charge of the center pieces for the mother's day tea party with the achievement day girls in her ward. She invited me over and we started to make them. They were really easy to make, but super cute. We took skewers and used a gum drop to hold the cookie in place. Then we put other good candy on top and put them in a flower pot! Denise also bought cute summer wooden cutouts and used them as fillers in the flower pot! I think this is such a cute idea! The centerpieces turned out great!

All of the girls in my family have birthdays in the month of May and my aunt has the same birthday as me. It kinda sucks because typically we don't get our own special day. In fact, when we were little, we would get presents on each other's birthdays (Yes, we are spoiled). However, I still love my birthday! It was always the last day of school for the year, the day I graduated High school, and so many other good memories have happened on my birthday. I am very excited for my birthday and am very grateful for all of my friends and family who love and care about me!

Snowball fight

My family went up to snowbird to have a snow ball fight. We found this huge mound of snow with pipes that you could fling the snow with. It was really fun!! Then we went on a hike to a spring. It was really cool to see the water coming straight up from the ground!

After the hike we went and ate at Maddox in Logan. It was amazing!!

Women's Conference

I had the opportunity to go to women's conference with my sister Sara and Leah. It was a really great experience. Here are some of the quotes that I loved:

Over all, Women's Conference was amazing. Most of the sessions I attended dealt with improving ourselves and relying on the Lord and the atonement. I am so grateful that I got to attend Women's Conference this year!

As many people have heard, Chris Brown had to miss the grammy's because he beat the crap out of his girlfriend Rihanna. Now, I don't really listen to either of their music but I was reading a book today called Not Another Sarah that reminded me of this situation. Unfortunately, a photo of Rihanna was leaked that showed her bloody lips and bruised face. Poor her! She looks horrible, and this isn't the first time that he's beat her up. However, “Brown, even if guilty, could walk free because of the unauthorized release of this photo,” says an LAPD source. This makes me so mad! Rihanna was supposed to celebrate her 21st birthday this weekend, but because of what happened she stayed home hidden away. I hope that Rihanna speaks out and lets people know that dating/domestic violence is not ok. She would be a great speaker on this issue and I think people would become more aware of how common (but not ok) dating/domestic violence is. I also hope Chris Brown actually has to be responsible for what he did but she'll probably take him back. I worked with women in situations similar to Rihanna's everyday and more often than not they would forgive their abuser and go back just to get beat again a week later. No one needs to put up with that. Not once, Not ever!

Things I am grateful for

I decided that because things haven't always the most positive lately, I need to start listing the things I am grateful for and that make me happy.

1. Dave. He puts up with alot! and He has to share me with my work.
2. My family. They are the best and they always support me in everything I do.
3. My car. I haven't had a flat tire for like a year (knock on wood). It has always been so reliable.
4. My friends. They have put up with alot over the years. Thanks for all the love and support.
5. Facebook. It has helped me keep in touch with so many people I wouldn't have kept in touch with. I am especially grateful that I can talk with my cousins and friends through online chat.
6. The internet. Where would I be if I couldn't email, blog, or look up driving directions!
7. The church. I am probably 1 of 3 people at my work that believes in any kind of religion. It would be even harder to work here if I wasn't an active member of my church.

Well, I can only think of 7 things so far. But its a start!

Bunny's

So, this morning I left to work at about 6:30 am which means I went out to turn on my car about 5 mins before that. When I opened the door I heard something moving. It was really creepy but I tried to ignore it. When I turned on my car I saw two rabbits right in front of my car. They were so cute! I am glad that it was a rabbit making the noise. They were still in my yard when I got home from work so I think I may try to catch them tomorrow. I hope that they don't freeze to death either. That would be really sad.

Thanksgiving

This year, I had to work on Thanksgiving :( poor me! Dave went and ate with his family and then headed up to my Anya's. When I got off work, I headed to my Anya's house to eat. My uncle has 4 little girls who love to be princesses. My sister and I decided to dress up in our old prom dresses and play princess with them.

We also hide in Sara's room while everyone else was cleaning up. It was really fun! I am so thankful that I have such a good family! I love them!

BYU Game

This year the BYU vs UofU game was at the U. My family has seasons ticket to BYU, but my dad decided to buy seasons tickets to the U so we could go to the game this year. My dad went to every game and cheered for the U but cheered for BYU at this game. My family is mostly BYU fans, born and raised to cheer for BYU. However, my brother Sam decided to cheer for the U this year. He dressed in red and refused to wear anything related to BYU. My husband also cheered for the U as well, but wore neutral colors because he really didn't care. This is us before the game.

This is us at the game... if you can see we're the only ones wearing blue. Luckily, we had nice neighbors who didn't pour beer on us or beat my sister up (she was really loud). Sam, my U loving brother, wore shorts and long sleeved shirt to the game. He refused to put on any more clothes, and just wrapped himself in blankets. He was freezing, but stubborn. A lady behind us even offered him a coat, but he refused to wear anything warm.

Sara got the lucky seat this game. It has tons of leg room and no one is sitting in front of you. However, she had to sit next to the fat man. He is one of those guys who would have to buy two seats on the airplane. His seat is also stuck behind the concrete wall and has very little leg room so he always tries to use our leg room. This game, his whole thigh was covering my sisters leg and he would yell at her any time she stood up. It was hilarious. But she did get the good seat.
This is me during the third quarter when I knew BYU didn't have a chance to win. It was funny because the one corner that was pure BYU fans started to clear out before the fourth quarter even started. Over all, the game was fun and I'm glad I got to go! My dad is the best for buying UofU season tickets.

Twilight and Indian food

Last night I went with Sara (my sister) and the two Lillywhite's.. Sara and Danielle to see twilight. It was a pretty good show! And some 40 year old guy and his daughter bought us popcorn. haha. I will probably have to see it again to fully appreciate it because I was feeling really sick. We had gone to eat Indian food at the Bombay grill and the food was really good but I just didn't feel very good. So after the movie I went home and slept for 12 hours and now I'm feeling better. But I miss hanging out with Sara and Danielle. They are so much fun and I never get to see them. They are the best! PS Dave is happy that he didn't have to go see. Origianally he was going to come, but he got out of it. lucky him!

Cass and Zach had a Halloween party last night. We decorated gingerbread houses, played pin the nose on the pumpkin, the boys had a worm eating contest, and we watched the office! It was really fun! I was a witch and Dave was Elvis- blow up style. And that was our Halloween! It was pretty rockin!

Sunday's homecoming/farewell

So today we went to Dave's cousin TJ's farewell and Jamie's homecoming (even though he'd been married for a week). They both did amazing on their talks and it was a really good sacrament meeting. After it was over, we went over to Kris's house for waffles. Dave and I went downstairs to watch tv and wait for the food. As we were waiting, this little kid dropped gum in my hair!!! When I asked him what was in my hair he said he didn't know. Then I realized it was gum and he ran upstairs. I felt bad for him, but I felt even worse for my hair. I had to rip a lot of my hair out of my head. It was horrible so we left. Dave was trying so hard not to laugh at me. It was sad.
